Omar Sharif Omar Sharif

Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh to a family of diplomats and intellectuals, Omar Sharif is well versed in multiple cultures, moving easily among business audiences from Dhaka to Singapore and Asia, to the United States.

Today serving as our Director of Business Growth, Omar began his career in New York, ultimately working as Creative Director for media platforms both print and digital.

At Sports Illustrated/CNN Omar was Creative Director in leading the design team while collaborating with the Executive Editor on SI brands GOLF and and Front 9.

At Hearst Publications, Omar worked with editorial and photography teams to solve design issues for Hearst's first weekly print and digital magazine, Quick & Simple.

While with Hearst, Omar had the honor of working with two respected talents, Philip Simone, former Design Director at PEOPLE magazine, and Kati Korpijaakko, former Creative Director at Mademoiselle and Creative Director of Quick&Simple.

Omar learned through both Simone and Korpijaakko how to create engagement through use of typography and imagery, and how to create a style that reflects high-end fashion design:

Taking out what is unnecessary, striving for visual clarity, depth, and an honest interpretation of what and who we are trying to represent, while removing the ego as a designer and putting the audience first and foremost, brings people and products together.

With a keen interest in not resting upon the status quo, Omar pushes aside rigidity, reaching for visual design approaches that touch human spiritual understanding to create deep emotional resonance.

Omar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in electronic design & multimedia from City College of New York.
